Robbie Williams kicks it off with a touching speech comprising lyrics from Take That’s Greatest Hits, followed shortly after by a rousing hymnal rendition of ‘So Macho’ from Britain’s Got Talent’s Paul Potts and boy band JLS. As the ceremony continues it is abruptly interrupted by a myriad of celebrities announcing their love for Cowell and their desire to be his bride.

David Walliams, Dermot O’Leary, Louis Walsh and Olly Murs are the main instigators, bursting through the door in full wedding dress regalia and before long the entire room is awry with proposals from just about every British celebrity under the sun.

Lipsey elicits some incredible comic performances from a mixture of actors and celebrities. The sketch concludes when it reveals that ultimately Simon Cowell loves no one else quite as much as he loves himself.

Comments from voters on why they choose this advert included; “Created feel good emotions”, “Energetic, Fun, great music and gave you a real sense of what a holiday might be like in a Haven park”, “Makes you want to be there”, to name a few. The selection of music; Echo Beach by Martha and the Muffins, was another key factor to its success.”

Blue’s commercial was streaks ahead of First Choice and Thomson who lagged behind with only 14% and 13% of the votes respectively in 2nd and 3rd place.

It’s the last two furlongs of the race, our front runner whips his beast and edges forward as the tension builds.  There is all to play for in this final sprint as we cut to a wide shot of the track to reveal our riders trusty steeds are in fact ride-on lawnmowers and our riders the groundsmen who’ve decided to have a little contest of their own.  They slowly edge their way to the finishing line with all the intensity and competitiveness expected of any professional lawnmower-rider.

Rod’s films are full of engaging characters, genuine performances and beautifully framed compositions.  His short film, Niche in the Market, was selected by The Reel as Documentary of the week and was curated into their “Best of 2012″ screening in Brick Lane at the end of the year.

After graduating in Fine Art, Rod launched into a successful editing career and was a co-founder of The Joint.  Since leaving The Joint to pursue work as a Director he has built up a strong body of work through a mix of his own creative projects, promos and virals.

With a keen eye for photography, background in editing and his innate ability to execute charming authentic narratives; Rod’s an exciting addition to tantrum’s offerings.
